Terms and conditions for group online lessons

Payments

  • Payments are due in advance in the beginning of each consecutive month and/or 1 day before the beginning of the programme. Minimal number of lessons to take in a group: 4 lessons per month.
  • Your first payment shall include at least 1 month worth of lessons in any given study programme.

Lesson carry overs

  • In the end of each consecutive month, the student/client shall agree the number of lessons for the next month with the account manager and the tutor.
  • The plan for the next month shall be provided in the student/group card.
  • Lesson carry overs are not welcomed and may be agreed to by the school in exceptional situations only. Please, refer to your account manager, if you feel you need to carry over the lesson.
  • Unused lessons do expire and are not carried over to the next month.

Lesson cancellations

  • Lessons can be cancelled by the school, if the group is not complete. In such case, the company will offer a student/client to join a different group of the commensurate language knowledge level.
  • If the lesson is cancelled or missed by the student, such lesson will expire automatically.

Technical issues

  • In case of more than 10-15 minutes of poor audio connection during the lesson a tutor will have to seek students/clients consent to continue the session (i.e. if students/clients agree to continue the session, the lesson will be paid for in full regardless of the poor connection). Otherwise, the lesson must be rescheduled. Attention! In case of poor connection, students/clients retain the full right to insist on rescheduling the session.
  • In case of Force Majeure circumstances on the part of either the tutor or students/clients, please, inform the coordinator or management via SMS. For this purpose, please, save the relevant contact details in your mobile phone beforehand.

Organizational matters

Working with documents in Google Drive

  • Account manager is responsible for creation of the group folder and grants access to students/clients and tutors. The group folder contains the group card, “Lessons”, “Lesson recordings” and “Homework” folders.
  • We strongly advise each student/client to create a “Gmail” account to have the seamless access to the documents in the group folder.
    After each lesson, but not later than 24hrs past the lesson, the tutor shall upload all the files used during the lesson into the “Lessons” folder. The number of the lesson shall be indicated in the name of the file as first symbol e.g. 1_task32.doc or 2_reading.doc.
  • For students/clients convenience, the tutor shall upload the homework into the “Homework” folder. Students/clients are welcome to use Google Drive functionality to create relevant homework documents in the relevant folder and share them with the tutor after the completion of the homework.
  • Students/clients are kindly asked to send in their completed homeworks to the tutor not later than 24hrs. before the next lesson (i.e. to reduce time spent on the homework revision in the beginning of the next lesson).
